The exhibition introduces works of the three key artists who have been significantly influencing development of art scene in Ústí nad Labem. The individual works are united by the artists’ effort to use their bodies as means of expression. Černický’s ‟natural” performance, Baňka’s ‟romantic” photography and Kopřiva’s ‟technical” installation, make the exhibition both fragmented and coherently unified.
In one part we are presented with a scenery in which animals have human characteristics and animal instincts arouse in humans. Nature shelters, feeds but also kills. The humans fight back, defend themselves, attempt to change the nature or worship it and submit to its forces.
From the world of accident, the world of no right angles we then move in to a world with clearly defined and functional rules. Inhabitants of this world create their own micro and macro cosmoses, attempt to imitate the nature and take ownership of its principles. They become surrounded by automatic environment and artificial intelligence which they control and which they are controlled by.
These all-embracing themes are interrelated indeed as they provide for a dialogue among psychology, religion, law and chaos.
Úběžník výstavy tvoří díla třech klíčových uměleckých osobností, které výrazně ovlivnily vývoj výtvarné scény v Ústí nad Labem. Trojici děl, která tyto osobnosti reprezentuje na výstavě, spojuje užití jejich vlastního těla jako výrazového prostředku. Černického „naturální“ performance, Baňkova „romantická“ fotografie a Kopřivova „technická“ instalace výstavu rozdělují i spojují.
V jedné části procházíme krajinou, kde zvířata mají lidské vlastnosti a v lidech se probouzí zvířecí pudy. Příroda zde má moc, která ochraňuje i zabíjí, lidé se buď brání, útočí, snaží se jí změnit nebo jí uctívají a podvolují se její moci.
Ze světa, kde hraje velkou roli náhoda a kde nenajdeme čtverec se dostáváme do pravoúhlého světa, kde fungují jasná pravidla. Člověk zde generuje vlastní mikro i makrosvěty, napodobuje a osvojuje si přírodní principy. Jsme zde obklopeni automatickým světem, umělou inteligencí, kterou ovládáme a která ovládá nás.
Tato základní všeobjímající témata výstavy se samozřejmě prolínají, setkává se zde psychoLogie a náboŽenství, řád a chaos.
